The glucose biosensor is Nova’s StatStrip glucose test strip, which has been found by the U.S. FDA to be the ONLY glucose test strip accurate enough for use on critically ill patients. It is the only glucose test strip technology that has no known clinical interferences and measures and corrects for haematocrit. The glucose test strip requires no calibration because there is no lot-to-lot variation and results are plasma equivalent and compare very well to all laboratory methods.
